Förbundskapten Andy Stewart kommenterar svenska U18-vinsten (0-79) mot Ungern igår:

"The team was relentless in defence and attack.
Technically and tactically as good as we have seen a Sweden XV U18 play in the last few years. They understood what was needed, reacted and executed the game plan with variation and positive energy.

No tour games are easy especially back to back games. Even if the score was flattering to Sweden, the team worked hard for this performance. In my opinion any other conclusion is being disrespectful to the opposition and the Swedish players that have worked so hard this year and in the last few days to dig out this type performance.

The biggest factor was probably the players bonding during our 7 hour train & coach ride from Prague. At our first dinner in Hungary all you could hear was laughter and giggles from every table while they consumed gallons of wonderfull Goulash soup. The coaches are not surprised we got this reaction.
The lads in the Junior Vikings have consistently reacted and improved to critical analysis from the coaches & their peers and they did not disappoint this time with a crushing win. These two wonderfull wins away from home can only be applauded.

This safe & fun environment for development is only possible to cultivate when you have the right people contributing. So I would like to salute and thank the people that work tirelessly for free with amazing levels of quality and expertise in the background on these tours and in the Junior Viking - Sweden rugby academy program:
Dr. Amy Sjöström and Physios Malin and Seb.
My fellows coaches this year on tour Jhonny and Bart + David and Henry who contributed earlier this year.
Our fantastic camera man Adrian who always find the best position to film however unusual.
However the biggest cheer and thanks has to go to our tireless manager Alison that delivers time after time these amazing events. A truly wonderfull person to work with and a true Swedish rugby star.

We will provide a full report in the coming weeks."
